Eco-innovation and consumer behavior

This project analyses the relationship between innovation and consumption by focusing on a set of product categories, where eco-innovations have already been introduced or where there are plans to do so, and will explore the consumer uptake (or lack) of those products. Its focus is on domestic lighting and laundry practices. The research employs a range of innovative methodologies including: transactions data analysis, time-diary informed online surveys, key informant interviews, household interviews, and documentary analysis.
