Dr Bruno Turnheim

Research Associate

Bruno is a Research Associate in the Sustainable Consumption Institute. He holds a PhD from the University of Sussex (SPRU). His research focuses on various aspects related to sustainability transitions, including questions of governance, the influence of normative problems, the destabilisation of dominant regimes, the role of innovation and experimentation, and conceptual integration of research approaches. His empirical research interest span transitions in the energy, mobility, and agri-food domains.

Bruno is currently working on a CIED-funded (www.cied.ac.uk) project analysing the emergence of light rail and modern trams as a socio-technical proposition for urban mobility, comparing developments in different national context (UK, France, and beyond).

Bruno is also a Research Associate at King’s College London (Geography) and an Associate Fellow at the University of Sussex (SPRU).
